Competition registration is open!
It will also be possible to register for competitions at The Snowball if space is available. However, please note that if you have not signed up for The Snowball, you won’t be able to pre-register for the competitions.
The Snowball reception will handle registrations during these days/hours:

Registration alone does not guarantee a spot in the competition. Payment must be made in cash at the comp desk during its opening hours.
For divisions where competitors select their own music, it must be submitted as a high-quality, one-track digital audio file at least one day before the competition.

Champions Cup Sweden
The Champion’s Cup is one of the most prestigious competitions in the Lindy Hop community and will take place at the Savoy Cup, 24-27 of April 2025. The two top placements of the Champions Cup Sweden qualifier will be directly qualified for the Champions Cup in Montpellier April 2024. Finals at Snowball will have two rounds. A Semi-final round in battle format where couples will dance 16x8, two times through in 220 Bpm. The final round will be in Jam format, either 8x8 or 12x8.
Judges will be looking for partnership, technique, and musicality. Choreographed elements and air steps are allowed.

Lindy Hop Mix and Match Amateur
Leaders and Followers sign up individually. Partners are chosen at random. In the prelims you will dance with more than one partner and to different tempos. Individuals will be chosen by the judges to dance the final. This division is open for less experienced dancers. You will be judged on technique, flow, musicality and partnership. Judges will especially look for your ability to make your partner shine. In the finals you will be judged as individuals.
Entry fee: 200 SEK per person
Awards: 1500 SEK

Lindy Hop Mix and Match Advanced
Leaders and Followers sign up individually. Partners are chosen at random. In the prelims you will dance with more than one partner and to different tempos. Judges will especially look for your ability to make your partner shine. In the finals you will be judged as individuals.

This will be an invitational competition open to dancers determined by the organizers.

Balboa Mix and Match Amateur

Balboa Mix and Match Advanced

Balboa Strictly
This will be an Balboa Strictly competition open to couples at any levels. You will dance Pure Balboa or Bal-swing to a variety of tempos. Judges will look for partnership, flow, musicality and good technique. Performance skills are important. In this competition, aerials, lifts and choreographed elements are allowed. Couples will be chosen by the judges to dance the final. Finals at Snowball will have a battle format.

Balboa Invitational Mix and Match
This will be an invitational mix and match competition open to dancers determined by the organizers. Dancers enter as individuals and partners are chosen at random. Dancers will be judged as couples

​The Minute Challenge
Perform a maximum 60 second showcase in Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, Saint Louis Shag, Balboa, Charleston, Tap, Solo Jazz, Blues or any other swing related dance styles. Both team- and solo showcases are encouraged. Dancers are allowed to participate in more than one showcase. Showcases will be chosen by the judges to dance in the final.
Email song submissions including a name of the showcase to DJ@thesnowball.se with the subject line beginning “The Minute Challenge", by the 26th of December at the latest. Your song must be cut or faded out before the 60 second limit and be in the format of a high quality mp3 file.
A maximum of 10 couples can attend.

Authentic Jazz/Charleston
This will be a traditional solo vernacular Jazz/Charleston contest. Sign up individually. The solo dancing can include dances such as vernacular jazz steps, Charleston, black bottom, soft-shoe, tap etc. Individuals will be chosen by the judges to dance the final.

Blues Invitational Mix and Match
This will be an invitational mix and match competition open to dancers determined by the organizers. Dancers enter as individuals and partners are paired randomly. Dancers will be judged as couples and will dance to a variety of Blues music.

Blues Mix and Match
Leaders and Followers sign up individually. Partners are chosen at random. In the prelims you will dance with more than one partner and to a variety of blues music. Individuals will be chosen by the judges to dance the final. This division is open for dancers on any level. You will be judged on technique, flow, musicality and partnership and are expected to be able to dance to different styles of blues music. Judges will especially look for your ability to make your partner shine. In the finals you will be judged as couples.

The Blizzard
This competition is open to dancers of all levels and styles. We’re looking for dancers who bring drive, attitude, creativity, and the ability to fly high or low —and who can win our hearts. Whether you do Lindy Hop, solo dancing, Balboa, one of the Shag styles, or all of them, you’re welcome! You can enter as a couple or as a solo dancer. No need to sign up in advance, you’ll be tapped into the finals. The competition will be held late at night in the main Ballroom. Expect fast music!
