The Snowball Policy & Code of Conduct
 

At this camp, we have a set of core values that we believe in. To make sure everyone has a good time, we've put these values into a Code of Conduct. It's a simple guide that tells you how we do things here and what we expect from you.

At The Snowball, we're all about fairness and respect. We absolutely do not accept any form of harassment, discrimination, psychological, physical or sexual. That means no treating anyone differently because of their sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, where they come from, gender identity, religion, ability, age or physical appearance, We're all equal here.

This Code of Conduct applies to everyone at the camp, including teachers, organizers, staff, volunteers, artists, vendors, sponsors, collaborators, and even the people who just come to visit. If you want to be part of the camp, you need to agree to follow these rules. We're serious about this, and we'll make sure everyone sticks to the Code of Conduct throughout the camp, from the moment we set up to the time we pack up.

We want everyone to feel safe and have an fantastic experience, so please cooperate and help us make it great for all.

Should you experience any unpleasant situation or witness harassment of any kind we would like to know. Please bring your concerns to The Snowball crew: Kenneth, Helena, Henric, Joanna or to our Snowball reception crew. The Hotel reception, which is open 24/7, will also be ready to offer support in any way they can in these situations and assist if the police or an ambulance are needed. As organizers we reserve the right to take any action we seem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund.

Refunds
Note that we give NO refunds!

We suggest that you contact your local insurance company to check if you can buy a cancellation policy if you want to be fully protected in case you have to cancel. You can sell your pass to an other person. Write us (info(at)thesnowball.se) if you have questions about this.
 

Auditions

There will be auditions for some levels in Lindy hop and maybe in Balboa. We trust and respect our teachers' opinions as well as their experience. We kindly ask our participants to do the same. This means that there might be a risk/chance of you being put into a group you did not sign up for. There will be very limited possibilities to change levels after the auditions. If your partner, significant other, or friend ends up in a different level than you and you wish to be in the same group we will do our best for you to end up in the same group. The principle is that the person in the higher level moves down.

We collect information from you when you register to any of our events (The Snowball) on our website, or participate in a competition, or sign up for our newsletter. The information collected includes your name, e-mail address and phone number among the choices you are making when you sign up for an event with us.

• Personalize your experience and meet your personal needs

• Improve our customer service and your need for help

Only employees who will perform a specific job (eg billing or customer service) will have access to personally identifiable information. The computers / servers used to store personally identifiable information are stored in a secure environment. We automatically anonymize all our booking data two years after each event.

6. Photos, video and live stream

There will be an official photographer as well as a videographer at the event. Photos and film (from our side) will only be used to market our own events in our newsletter, on social media and on the website. 
 

7. Links

This website www.thesnowball.se has links to other sites. This privacy policy does not apply to other sites, and you should review the privacy policies of those websites before you submit your personal information on them.

8. Unsubscribe

We use the email address you provide us to send information and updates regarding your order, single newsletters, related product information, etc. If you no longer want to receive such messages, you’ll find information on how to unsubscribe at the top and end of each newsletter.
