When you sign up you can choose to take lindy hop and/or balboa. There will be taster classes included in the workshop price. You can choose 1-2 taster classes every day or jazz with Steven and stay with that progressive class through the weekend. It will be 10 hours of lindy hop or balboa and 8 hours taster classes a total of 18 hours in four days.

Our headquarter is at Danscenter in Stockholm. Danscenter is located at Åsögatan 117 in Stockholm and closest subway is Medborgarplatsen.

LINDY HOP
Beginner/Intermediate
In this level you have to know the basics as in lindy swing out, lindy circle, side by side charleston and a few patterns. We hope you have been out dancing and enjoying what you know but want to reach the next level. Classes in this level will teach you a lot of technique and concepts that you need to know to progress as a lindy hop dancer.

Intermediate
You have been dancing for at least a year, actively social dancing, and know the history of the dance, and you probably have heard of terms like connection, musicality and improvisation. You love this dance and there is no going back! This level is about solidifying as a lindy hop dancer and improve your skills in improvisation, movement, musicality and to add more flavor to your dance. You are on the way to being a better dancer!

Intermediate/Advanced
So, you have read about all the levels above, and you want more. This level is for people who have been dancing for a couple of years and are confident and solid in the dance and ready for more. A lot of new material to expand and improve your dictionary of moves and technique. The classes will be harder and faster than the levels before. Be prepared for a thrilling ride.

Advanced
Stuff starts to get really hard around this level and you now understand that to become an advanced dancer you need to go back to the basics. Here it´s not about patterns and figures, you will get more technique in a very challenging way. Here the teaching pace will be much quicker and classes will cover all tempos. A very intense and exciting level if you are ready for it! To be in this level you will have to pass the audition.

The Top
This level is for the top only. To be in this level you will have to pass the audition.

BALBOA
Balboa will have two levels, intermediate/advanced and advanced, to make these two levels the best as possible everybody have to pass the audition that will be scheduled for the balboa levels.

Intermediate/Advanced
This level is for those who are comfortable with moves like come arounds, break turns, break timing, cross overs and lolly kicks. You know the difference between pure bal and bal-swing and want to brush up your basic movements. You have been taking balboa classes for some years and at least one balboa workshop. To be in this level you will have to pass the audition.

Advanced
You are regularly taking classes and attend balboa workshops when ever you can. Balboa has become a comfortable feature of your social dancing. You look forward to learn more complex moves, are looking to add more styling and footwork variations as well as making your dancing more musical. To be in this level you will have to pass the audition.

TASTER CLASSES
A taster class can as an example be Charleston, aerials, footwork, Shim Sham etc...

Jazz with Steven
Steven's Jazz movement class will be progressive, so participants will need to start with the first one and attend each class. For those who attend Intermediate level and above.
