It will be 10 hours of lindy hop and balboa classes each and a lot of optional taster classes. The taster classes are included in the workshop price. You can choose 1-2 taster classes every day or join the jazz with Steven and stay with that progressive class through the weekend. The regular classes toghether with tasters can give you a total of 18 hours in four days.

Our headquarter, both for classes and evenings is at Clarion Sign Hotel at Norrabantorget in Stockholm, and the closest subway is T-centralen.

Please sign up for the right level when you register and not the level above. The teachers will follow the level descriptions.

LINDY HOP
Beginner/Intermediate
This is not a beginners class. You have have to know the basics as in lindy swing out, lindy circle, side by side charleston and a few patterns.

Intermediate
You have been dancing for at least a year, actively social dancing, and you have probably heard of terms like connection, musicality and improvisation. In this level your skills in improvisation, movement, musicality will improve.

Intermediate/Advanced
You have been dancing for a couple of years and are confident and solid in the dance and ready for more. A lot of new material to expand and improve your dictionary of moves and technique.

Advanced
Stuff starts to get really hard in this level. Patterns, figures and dance technique will be presented in a more challenging way. Here the teaching pace will be quicker and classes will cover all tempos. A very intense and exciting level if you are ready for it! To be in this level you will have to pass the audition. That means also to be ready to be put down.

Show & Performance
During these days the teachers will focus on techniques, choreographies and figures suited for show, competition and performance.
You have to be at advanced level to sign up for this class.
In this level you will meet some of the instructors, and you have to sign up together with a partner.

BALBOA
Balboa will have two levels, intermediate/advanced and advanced, to make these two levels as good as possible for everyone, there will be an audition.

Intermediate/Advanced
You are regularly taking classes and attend balboa workshops when ever you can. You want to brush up your basic movements, learn more intresting figures, footwork variations and styling as well as making your dancing more musical.

Advanced
Same as the above description but you allready have an idea about your own styling. And you practice balboa regularly, not only in class invironment but also by yourself. You like challenges like competitions and to teach other people this dance. To be in this level you will have to pass the audition.

TASTER CLASSES
A taster class can as an example be Charleston, aerials, footwork, Shim Sham etc...

Jazz with Steven
Steven's Jazz movement class will be progressive, so participants will need to start with the first one and then attend each class. You need to be at least an intermedtiate dancer to attend this class.
